We share our facility with a fat gray cat who is full of cattitude! She is offically named Fat Pat, but she also goes by Tubbers, Patty, and Fatty Poopoo. Her hobbies include teasing dogs, eating, catnip parties and sunbathing.
Dr. Cassie Kurtz attended the University of Findlay and The Ohio State Veterinary School, graduating in 2008 with her DVM. Her dog Cotton has traveled with her across the country. She has practiced in North Carolina and Ohio. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, laser therapy, and dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking and reading.
Dr. Rebecca Serrano-Burns (Dr. Serrano) grew up in Pickerington on her family's hobby farm. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Findlay. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University in 2022. She is interested in integrative/holistic medicine and dietary therapy. You may see her dog Charlie in the clinic.
Karen has been a part of Chevington Animal Hospital starting as kennel staff before moving up front. She has been an integral part of the team as a receptionist and vet assistant, since 2004. She shares her home with two dogs, Stella, and Wally and two cats, Gemma and Diesel.
Last, but certainly not least, our dedicated kennel staff exercise the dogs, cuddle the kitties, keep everyone fed and cozy, and clean up all the messes that come with a busy clinic and boarding facility.
Kirstyn is our Boarding and Grooming Manager here at Chevington Animal Hospital. She makes sure all animals are comfortable and cared for while they are here, and leave our boarding facility happy, healthy, and beautiful. Kirsten enjoys her very own garden of orchids when not at work.
Dr. William P. Young graduated from The University of Tennessee in 1985 and has worked in Pickerington for over 25 years. He has three cats, Bunny, Charlie, and Ty. Dr Young developed and was granted a patent for the Feline Laser Declaw procedure and is certified in stem cell treatment for osteoarthritis. When not at work, he enjoys fishing all over the world.
Marquita is one of our veterinary technicians who has been with us since 2020. She spends much of her time monitoring surgery and assiting with appointments. She has one dog named Kya (pictured left) at home with her and enjoys spending time with her nephews outside of work.

Klemi is our newest assitant and reception team member. She is originally from Hungary, and her favorite food is pho. When not working, Klemi is spending time with her two-year-old daughter.
Frances is our fabulous groomer, who makes your dog look beautiful before going back home. She lives an active lifestyle, including bodybuilding, with her husband outside of work.
Justine started with us in 2023 and is one of our veterinary technicians, you will also see her at reception. She has one dog named Jake at home. She enjoys being outdoors and hiking with Jake. Client education is very important to her and she looks forward to seeing you and your pets.
